Greek Parliament Greek Presidential Guard Kallimarmaro Stadium
A great trip starts, with starting point your hotel or the location you have chosen. The beginning of the tour takes place in Syntagma Square. Where we can see the Parliament of Greece and the square surrounded by the most famous hotels in the city of Athens.
Immediately afterwards, we will see the Russian and Anglican churches built on Filellinon Street. Then we will have the opportunity to head to the Temple of Zeus. Which is an open-air museum and unification point of the archaeological sites of Athens.
Following our visit to the spectacular Temple of Zeus and its columns. We will take a stop for photos at the Kallimarmaro or Panathinaiko Stadium. The venue of the 1st modern Olympic Games in 1896.
The continuation of our journey finds us walking in front of the Political Bureau of the Prime Minister of Greece and the residence of the President of the Republic at Herod Atticus Street.
Our next stop is the Zappeion Mansion. The first in the world to be built exclusively for the Olympic Games. While we will admire the change of presidency guard at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier in front of the Parliament of Greece.
By following the Panepistimiou Street. We will have the chance to pass through the Monetary Museum of Athens as well as by two impressive neoclassical buildings designed by the Danish architect Theophilus Freiherrvon Hansen. We are talking about the Academy of Athens and the National Library of Greece.
Akropolis of Athens & Museum Academy of Athens & Old Parliament Building
We continue our journey to the Old Parliament Building on Stadiou Street. A magnificent neoclassical building that houses the National Historical Museum of Greece. In front of the building you can see the bronze statue of General Theodoros Kolokotronis, one of the most important heroes of the Greek Revolution of 1821.
Our next stop is the Acropolis and the Parthenon Temple, where we are given the unique opportunity to admire the most famous monument of the Athenian state, built in the middle of the fifth century BC, to honor the goddess Athena. In the same place, we will visit the new Acropolis Museum, the Herod Atticus Conservatory and the Theater of Dionysus.
Next, we will be on the hill of Lycabettus, from where we can admire a panorama of Athens. We will have an hour break for coffee / food. Our last stop is the National Archaeological Museum, with ancient findings not only from Athens but also from all over Greece, from the Mycenaean to the Roman and Early Christian periods.
At the end of the tour the driver will return you to the pickup point or any other location you wish during the return journey.
